Most matrons wore turbans or aigrettes to balls. The aigrette is a feathery hairpiece. It is a perfect little complement to a ladies evening gown or ballgown. They add lovely color to a doll without adding bulk and also give a touch of movement to a miniature scene. We use very sharp pins to place the aigrettes into the hair. Their sharpness allows the aigrettes to slide into the doll's hair without damaging or breaking the hair strands. These can not be used on dolls with plastic hair or hair that is glued close to the head (such as that for a man). Aigrettes are available in a single color or a color mix. Just use the comment box to indicate additional colors for each.
